On August 14, 1948, the first meeting of Havana Rural Fire Protection District. Attending the meeting were the Trustees, Claude H. Randall, Carmen Burgard, and Harry Filing. Also attending were, Earl Nuding, Ancil Blodgett, Louis Connor, Ken Braendle, Wendel Koke, Harry Morris, Bill Yaeger, Murray Johnson, Bill Schad, Howard White, And Jay Taylor. August 25, 1950, Havana Rural recieved their first pumper. It was a 1950  American Pumper. December 6, 1955, the Fire Dept recieved thier first tanker. The truck was a 1955 Alexis Tanker. Today, Havana Rural Fire Dept. has 24 members.
